Farmworker Legal Services of New York, Inc. (FLSNY) is a not-for-profit corporation providing free legal services and legal education to New York's agricultural workers. FLSNY's lawyers and paralegals provide a wide range of legal advocacy on behalf of farm workers.  FLSNY seeks to assure that agricultural employers and housing providers in New York and nationwide comply with the law, that government entities respect farm workers' civil rights, and that the public is educated about farm worker rights under existing laws and the exclusions from existing labor laws that protect other types of workers

Lew Papenfuse, Executive Director, welcomes you to www.FLSNY.org.  Farmworker Legal Services of New York, Inc. has been serving migrant and seasonal farm workers for the past 30 years through direct representation in civil matters regarding employment and wage issues.  FLSNY also serves the migrant community who may be victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.  Pesticide education to prevent exposure and poisoning remains a significant part of FLSNY's services.

FLSNY is particularly proud of its reputation as the only program in New York that conducts extensive outreach to the migrant community. As a result of our close ties to this community, we have been the recipient of grants to provide services to special populations within this group.  FLSNY now services victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and those exposed to pesticides.
